Grapefruit mint has a zesty citrus flavour and mid green slightly hairy leaves. It produces long spikes of incredibly attractive purple flowers in mid to late summer. This mint is worth growing for its flowers alone, as well as its culinary attributes.
Grapefruit mint does not spread quite as prolifically as some other mints, it produces strong upright stems and looks particularly lovely when it flowers in late summer. It is an ideal mint to grow for culinary purposes or just for its ornamental value.
The leaves and flowers can both be used in cooking, they complement fruit salads and drinks both for flavour and decoration.
Supplied as large plug plants with 6 x plants in each pack.
